YOUR MIND IS THE TARGET.
The media does not inform you; it programs you. It uses specific “glitches” in human psychology (Logical Fallacies) to bypass your critical thinking. Here is how to spot the code.
1. The “Straw Man” (The Fake Enemy)
- The Tactic: They don’t attack your actual argument; they attack a distorted, silly version of it.
- Example: You say, “I am concerned about the lack of long-term safety data for this tech.” They scream, “You are anti-science and want people to die!”
- Defense: Call it out. “You are arguing against a position I do not hold.”
2. The “Ad Hominem” (Shoot the Messenger)
- The Tactic: Attacking the character of the person instead of the facts.
- Example: “You can’t trust that scientist’s data on climate engineering; he was divorced twice!”
- Defense: Ignore the insult. Return to the data. Truth does not depend on the messenger’s popularity.
3. The “Appeal to Authority” (Obey)
- The Tactic: Claiming something is true only because an “expert” or institution said so.
- Example: “The Ministry of Truth says this is safe. Who are you to question them?”
- Defense: Expertise is not proof. Evidence is proof. Demand the raw data.
4. Gaslighting (The Reality Shift)
- The Tactic: Denying your lived experience to make you doubt your sanity.
- Example: “No one is forcing you to do X,” while simultaneously making it impossible to live without doing X.
- Defense: Document everything. Trust your memory. Trust your intuition.
